At-Takaathur
  1. 102.1
    1
    بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ.
    The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things),
  2. 102.2
    2
    حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ.
    Until ye visit the graves.
  3. 102.3
    3
    كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ.
    But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality).
  4. 102.4
    4
    ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ.
    Again, ye soon shall know!
  5. 102.5
    5
    كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ.
    Nay, were ye to know with certainty of mind, (ye would beware!)
  6. 102.6
    6
    لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ.
    Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire!
  7. 102.7
    7
    ثُمَّ لَتَرَوُنَّهَا عَيْنَ ٱلْيَقِينِ.
    Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight!
  8. 102.8
    8
    ثُمَّ لَتُسْـَٔلُنَّ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَنِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ.
    Then, shall ye be questioned that Day about the joy (ye indulged in!).
