Ash-Sharh
  1. 93.1
    1
    بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ وَٱلضُّحَىٰ.
    By the Glorious Morning Light,
  2. 93.2
    2
    وَٱلَّيْلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ.
    And by the Night when it is still,-
  3. 93.3
    3
    مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ.
    Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased.
  4. 93.4
    4
    وَلَلْءَاخِرَةُ خَيْرٌۭ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ.
    And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present.
  5. 93.5
    5
    وَلَسَوْفَ يُعْطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرْضَىٰٓ.
    And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased.
  6. 93.6
    6
    أَلَمْ يَجِدْكَ يَتِيمًۭا فَـَٔاوَىٰ.
    Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)?
  7. 93.7
    7
    وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ.
    And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance.
  8. 93.8
    8
    وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلًۭا فَأَغْنَىٰ.
    And He found thee in need, and made thee independent.
  9. 93.9
    9
    فَأَمَّا ٱلْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ.
    Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness,
  10. 93.10
    10
    وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنْهَرْ.
    Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard);
  11. 93.11
    11
    وَأَمَّا بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثْ.
    But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim!
